I'm writing a movie review on Oh Brother, Where Art Thou and how it relates to The Odyessey. I have some ideas, but if anyone else sees anything important to add, please do.

Sirens- the women singing by the lake
The Cyclops- the bible salesman
The prophet- The black man on the railroad
Being reunited with Penelope
Having a crew of men Odysseus travels with
Odysseus' pride in his strength to his vainity and Dapper Dan
Baptism Scene-Land of Lotus eaters

Can anyone give me any other ideas and ideas about how to set up my essay? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

You're doing a fine job. I'm sure you will spot differences as well. As far as what the movie was about, a few people I know have said it confused them, so you're not alone. I just really liked the music, and have a CD of that. I've watched the movie more than once as well, and if you haven't, maybe it would help if you did. It is a kind of loopy movie, but tells a story of a sort. Luck--

Scylla and Charybdis: The warden and his posse, and the flood (that saves them from being lynched).

EDIT: I didn't copy the lady above, she just got her answer in a minute before I did (what's the saying... great minds think alike LOL!)
