It's too soon to start stressing out - wait until you've had another procedure done, it's not uncommon for pap smears to return false positives.
I had similar problem a couple of years ago - First I had a colposcopy to further investigate and then the doctor did a cone biopsy to remove the suspicious cells. This was followed by routine paps every 3 months for 2 years to make sure the cells did not grow back.

I'm now TTC and have asked the RE about the impact on the cone biopsy - once the cervix is healed there are rarely problems, it depends on how well you heal, and the dr'll keep a close eye on that.

I also went through that when I was 17 and 19 or 20 and had procedures both times and now I am 21 and just found out I was preg!! Everything will work out!! Don't worry it will not help! Mine(pre-cancerous cells) were caught right before they were cancer!!! I was running out of patience TTC but then when i least expected it happened!!! Good Luck!!!

I am 24 and I went through this last year so I know what you mean! I am sorry you are having to deal with this, It is very hard!!! But when they done the procedures on me they ended up finding out they were not cancer and everything was okay! They didn't find mine on a papsmear though, it was from a catscan because I had went to the er because I had severe pain in my abdomen. When they done the catscan they found a cyst that they said looked cancerous. But like I said it turned out to be nothing.
Dont give up hope and good luck!!!
Just remember the best cure for anything is smiles and laughter. Stay positive!!!

I went through the same thing at about 23. I had my cervix frozen and everything was fine when I healed. I've not gotten an abnormal pap since and I'm 42 now.
You'll be fine... It's probably pre-cancerous, which means they caught it early and can treat it with no problem.
Also... this didn't affect my fertility at all.
Good luck.

This happened to my sister-in-law when she was 19 and my mother-in-law when she was 49. The both had treatments done - some time of freezing method. They are both fine and have had normal check-ups since. This was almost 2 years ago for both of them. They are both normal. Good luck!
