Having nuclear weapons anyone even the US is more or less as the President described the terrorists - a mad man only has to get lucky once - and we have to be lucky all the time Odds are against us that we do not sooner or later blow ourselves up with them
And of course the other side whoever that might be will feel it necesary to respond , likely in full - in hopes that this will lessen impact on them
Is Bust , Putin , North Korea , Israel ,Pakistan , India etc that mad man ?
Another thing people tend to forget here in the west is that these middle eastern nations are for the most part smaller than Texas and no where near the Size of a Canadian Province even the smaller ones are twice the size of Jordon or Israel or Kwait
So one nuclear weapon exploded out there will have imediate fall out and radio-active deaths accross the map The entire region around Chernobyl still has causalties of birth defects and premature deaths - from an accidental spill 25 yrs ago
Imagine what "on purpose" looks like
With rumours of Alquida in Pakistan an enemy of India (both nuclear powers) the nation who is now in a state of emergency opens itself up to all sorts of consiracy theories esp since Pakistan and Iran share a boarder
Russia has said that an attack on Iran = and attack on Russia
How far would they go ? The Caspian Sea (5 X larger than our Great Lakes) connects oil flows from Iran to Russia Military infrastructure and nuclear scientists from Russia are in the midst of building a nuclear reactor
China another Nuclear power is saying no parking here to US warships a hostile reaction for greeting the Dali Lama and selling arms to Tawian
This as China flexs it arm over the US debts to them while watching the US spend 400 million a day on an Iraqi occupation force
There are a lot of chances for error insane reactions and those who have goals of destruction to get a mass suicide of the planet off the ground
Almost to the point where I am amazed we lived through the Cuban missle crises which Putin says is repeating itself in eastern Europe and there were a lot fewer players with nukes back then
And lets not forget about the Russian General who defected just after "The Wall came down" who told us about 12 missing nuclear suit cases. We all wondered then and now if it wasn't just a scare tactic of the old Soviet/Kremlin era
But look at the level of the "game" back in the 80's and 90's then in the quest on both sides for world wide domination - are we to believe than national tribalisim has in any way ceased so that we no longer need to worry about attacks and war ? Not one bit - we haven't changed in the 200 yrs that the industrial revolution began or even going back to the wars of succesion in the 1600's
We are still deeply suspicous of them and we still only ever believe or understand people on the we side of the equation Resources are ever being fought over land water oil food and so on - nothing has changed
We are still killing each other over beliefs - a woman who could have been flogged over the Name of a Teddy Bear
Everybody who wins a war or a battle secretly thinks that because they have the better society people and gods while the losers always think the barbarian won and that their god is testing them somehow
From ancient times to now - We are ruled by the biggest and smartest who happen to want to compete nothing is enough
We have never been lead by the common people who want peace and trade but by the meanist and trickeist of the Noble class the ancient hunters who were the most aggressive who stole the grain from the farmmers field in traveling hordes

It takes a lot of fingers to pull the trigger on a WMD launched by the USA. Yes our leaders are trustworthy in this respect. At present we have the means to deliver enough WMD to annihilate any country in the world even after giving them the first shot. If it had not been for our government`s high regard for human lives Iraq would no longer exist. We pose a threat regardless of our stability and that is the way we need to keep it. One of our past presidents said it was best for us to "Speak softly but carry a big stick". Our present president "Speaks loudly and carries a big stick". That is what has kept most of the rest of the world at odds with us for the past six years or so. Thank God we did have a big stick otherwise some country would have tried to kick our a*s during that time. I hope our next president has a little diplomacy about him. If so maybe some our old friends will come back.

Are you asking if we are going to bomb someone with WMD's? I don't think so. I don't think the government is totally trustworthy but not to the point that they would use to WMD's

Please. WMD's are the last thing this country makes well. Without WMD's America's trade deficit would be double what it is now.
