I have my own room, I guess, but I don't feel like it's my room. I have no privacy in the house and I was hoping that would be one room where I could have it. I don't get privacy when I'm going to the bathroom, my brothers have the door open till I finish and they walk away (pervs). If I'm taking a bath everyone suddenly has to pee or get something. My mom and brothers are always coming in my room bothering me and on top of that I can never have a moment to myself. I'm bout to go crazy. How do I keep my room a place to keep sane and to enjoy being alone?

there no point in locking the door, they get a hanger and pick the lock wheter it's the bathroom or my room. I just spent ten minutes yelling at the top of my lungs for my brother to leave me alone because I'm not feeling well and he keeps showing me dumb magic tricks. And they come in my room butt naked or half naked and they are 9 and 7 (i have another brother but he's only two and he's my angel).

No, I stay in my room. By myself and do what I need to do because that's all I need to do. I do my homework, get dressed, etc and bothering no one else.

I cant get an apartment, I'm only fourteen.

Maybe when you guys sit down to dinner or something bring up the issue.Tell them that you hate it when they are invading your privacy and you would like it if they stopped.Make sure that you say it firmly enough so they get the point(but try not to be rude). Lock the door every time you're in the bathroom or put something behind it so that it can't be opened from the outside. Do the same with your room door.If anyone asks you whats wrong just tell them you want some times alone and that you would appreciate it if they respected that.

Good Luck!!

It's really not that hard...

Tell your family that your room is YOUR private place and that you are entitled to your privacy.

Especially in the bathroom... I don't know if your brothers are incestual perverts or what, but no civilized person holds the bathroom door open and watches when one of their siblings or anyone else for that matter, is using the toilet.

Unless your family is truly dysfunctional, they're not going to just ignore you or tell you that your brothers are entitled to watch you take a crap.

Honestly it sounds to me like the only reason you have this problem is because you lie back and take it. You are too submissive. You need to assert yourself to get what you want.

If they still don't respect your privacy, booby trap your room with bear traps or an electric fence.

Wow, tough life. Don't you have any locks on your doors? Usually when i take a shower/bath, i would lock the door. Are your brothers older or younger? If they're younger, maybe they don't know better. Your mom might just be too over protective and wants to know what you're doing by yourself (can't blame her xD) I would try locking the door or try telling your family to give you some privacy. Good luck with that.

That sounds pretty annoying. Maybe you should
try telling your brothers and Mom calmly that you would really enjoy some privacy sometimes especially while going to the bathroom. It sounds like you could have been a little nicer to your brother when he was trying to show you his magic trick. They probably just think you're cool and want to get your attention and that's why they do that stuff. If you make time to play a game with them or watch them do magic tricks (for instance) everyday they'll probably give you more time to yourself. They just need their "love cup" filled up =)

Why do you allow your brothers to watch you use the bathroom. Doesnt your family believe in locks. I grew up with 6 other bro's and sis's and NEVER had privacy as i shared my room until I left to be MARRIED. Privacy is a frame of mind, not a physical location. However, you do need to be able to pee in peace.

For the bathroom, there really is no solutions. Talk to your parents about this problem.

For your room, maybe you could install a doorknob that can be locked from the inside and unlocked from the outside with a key. And the only ones who have the key would be your parents and you.

Hope it helps!

So why not tell your mom just how bad your brothers are as far as being perverts?

As far as wanting privacy, make it known to all you are going to your room, and to not bother trying to unlock the door, because you are putting a chair behind it to make sure the pervert brothers can't come in. Now if your mom needs to come in, yes, let her in, but ask her to knock first.

Oops, just reread your question. Since your brothers are 9 and 7, they aren't really perverts. They are just undisciplined, for which your mom will pay dearly as they get older. Tell her to start making them dress appropriately and discipline them starting TODAY, or she'll be paying for it for years and years.

Lock the door and put a please knock sign on your door.tell everyone you want them to tell them why they want to come in,who they are,and then you will let them inside.Tell your parents not to let your brothers in your room and remind them if you feel like doing something in your room like watvhing tv for a while. If you don't mind hanfing things like string from your doortop to shade people's vision of you,and your vision of them do it,it could even end up looking nice, however I can't help you with the bathroom issue.

go to home depot or lowes and get a lock that can only be opened from the inside...thats what i did. or just tell your family to leave you alone or you'll run away or stick a chair behind the door. many options here ive done them all and now i live in peace!
