Traditionaly the Judicial and Legislative branches check the power of the Executive. Lately......the president has some crazy Idea that executive privilege and signing statements are all that is needed to run a country. In fact Bush has made a few signing statements giving him the authority to declare Martial Law on a whim. Also, HR 1955 passed andis now in the Senate under S. 1959. If this passes, anyone who opposes or criticises Bush can possibly be locked up as a "home grown terrorist" Time to call or email your senators

Lately? No one!!! But just wait until Hillary becomes president then the Republicans will spend the next 4 years dodging the real issues by investigating every time Hillary breaks wind.

Apparently nobody, as his administration is getting away with corruption on a scale that most Americans have no idea. If even half of this country was aware of what's REALLY going on, there would be a revolution - oh wait... that was the sixties...

Ideally, (as was written) Congress.
However, this is not true any longer. Also, we as Americans have lost our right to Habeas Corpus. I don't really know how any of us can still support this country....
