I live in Britain. The last time I checked it was illegal for most civilians to have them. Although there are criminals who have them, the murder rates taking into consideration population size are much lower than in America. I just read a question where people were saying that with stricter with gun laws, it would be like Nazi Germany. Without taking into consideration all the lives that it would save.

With no controls on Guns, any madman, teenager, child, criminal can obtain a gun and use it on ANYONE. INNOCENT OR NOT.

There is gun crime where I live, I know several innocent people who have been killed, and that is even with Britain's gun laws. I would be terrified to leave my house if they were legal, I have no idea how anyone could justify the fact that they allow so many ignorant people to walk the streets with a tool to end someones life in a split second.

I perfer guns to be legal. You can usually trace the owner, due to gun laws, and it is protection from the lawless who also have guns. That, and if anyone ever tries to come and conquer all of us, they'd have a heck of a time with so many people owning guns.
Personally, every time someone jumps in a car they can end someones life in a split second. So, should we just ban driving too? I think not. I guess we in America have just accepted the fact that people die doing stuff. If someone goes mad and wants to kill you, there is not much you can do to stop them, is there? You took his gun, so instead he'll take a car. Or a knife. Or a chainsaw. Or homemade explosives. If someone goes crazy to kill, nothing can be done to stop him....Unless you want to lose all your rights to protection.

You do realize that not everyone can just walk into a party store and come out a gun owner in america right?

Criminals will always have the guns, and in this country, if only criminals had guns the murder rate would be higher than it already is.

You're giving too much credit to the government. Most people with a half ounce of sense are not to be feared--the govt? You never know what they're thinking

Laws against guns simply means that only the lawless will have them.
