It could just be the auto online update of Adobe Reader that is causing the problem. It may be conflicting with with one of your startups. If the auto updater has an icon on the lower right tray, click and exit. Or permanently disable it in msconfig. Run msconfig and select startup tab to disable a startup process.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is used to view pdf files, which is a not uncommon format for pages on the Internet. I have seen acrobat cause problems for a web browser, but only if you have navigated to a page that is displaying a pdf. This program is probably not the source of your Internet dropping out, though when a pdf file loads occasionally the browser will take quite a while to become responsive again.

Your computer won't crash, though it is probably not a good idea to remove this particular program.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but Adobe Reader is used to read .pdf and I think some other types of files. Are you opening .pdf files during the crashes?
