I've been stuck on this for almost half an hour now, any help would be greatly appreciated, please give instructions on how to balance it. Thanks:

Pb(SO4)2 + LiNO3 -> Pb(NO3)4 + Li2SO4

OK you have to look at the oxidation states for these ok
so you have lead sulfate and Lithium nitrate which yields Lead Nitrate and Lithium Sulphate.
so we have to balance them.
put a 2 on the lead sulphate and a 2 on the lead nitrate. so now we have 2 leads and 8 nitrates and 4 sulphates.
then put an 8 on the lithium nitrate and put a 4 on the lithium sulphate and ouila!!
2Pb(SO4)2 + 8LiNo3 --->> 2Pb(NO3)4 + 4Li2SO4
cause the guy up above may seem like hes right but you have to make sure that you are following the law of conservation of matter which you know and therefore... the amount of elements and stuff need to be equal.
you have yourself a balanced equation!!!
if you need any help with chemistry especially with organic chemistry i am currently in that unit, i will help you.

Your lead is already balanced, so go to sulfate next...you have 2 on the left, so multiply 2 to Li2SO4 on the right... 2Li2SO4...remeber that the 2 applies to everything behind it...
You now have 4 Li on the right, multiply 4 to LiNO3 on the left...4LiNO3...
Your answer is:
Pb(SO4)2+4LiNO3->Pb(NO3)4+2Li2SO4
Good Luck!

Well, if all of the formulas are written correctly, you see you have 4 NO3- ions on the right, so put a 4 in front of LiNO3 on the left. That give you 4 Li+ ions on the left, so put a 2 in front of Li2SO4 on the right, and now it is balanced.

Pb(SO4)2 + 4 LiNO3 --> Pb(NO3)4 + 2 Li2SO4

This should work.
