Hi all, im 40weeks pregnant and have been told baby is back to back, i have been to hospital today as ive been getting really bad pains down below like im opening up or when baby moves it feels like hes twisting my insides out. i also told them that i have constant backache. They said its the way the baby is laying on my spine and its pressure dwn below, she didn't do a internal or anything, but tonight ive been getting pains in my back that are coming and going every15mins and lasting 53 second, they are not too painful but i think they could be getting stronger. it also feels like i need the toilet (no2) what could this be

it sounds like u could be in the early stages hun keep an eye on the pains if they get stronger go back to ur hospital dont u be worried what they think if its a false alarm it happens to a lot of women, but from what u say ur baby is prob gonna make an appearance sooner rather than later good luck sweetie

Ring the Hospital and tell them how often your pains are coming it sounds as if you have started to me but they will be able to assess you more, feeling you want to go to the toilet is probably just pressure on your bladder but if you start to leak or have a sudden burst of water you must go in immediately as things can start to go very fast once your waters have gone. The pain usally starts in the back but moves through and grips before it recedes. Good Luck with your baby I wish I could start all over again.

do you have any fluid coming out?

your probbaly starting to go into labour... write down the time the pain starts and how long it lasts for an hour or more and if the pains happen more offten, get more painful and last longer go to the hospital or even call and talk to a nurse they'll tell you what to do... and that way its not a wasted trip and you don't gotta feel stupid for going back ... good luck

Sounds like things are happening. Don't be afraid of contacting the hospital - after all that's what they're there for.
The most important people here are your baby and you. The hospital staff are used to false alarms, if that is what it is. Just look on it as a practise run.

Good luck. What a lovely Christmas present. xxx

Congrats. It sure sounds like theres not long left. you should really phone the labour ward if u are unsure, they are always happy t help, and they definately wouldnt think u are stupid. when ur labour pains get down to every 7 mins i would get urself straight down the hospital. Best wishes x

I didn't go into labor until the pains were about 3-4 minutes apart and I finally went... sure enough it was labor and I thought I was just constipated lol! I went to the hospital 4 times before it was actually "time"... don't feel stupid especially if this is your first child!!!

get your things together and go to the hospital it sound like you are in labour. When you are ready to push that what it feels like that you need to go to the loo. If you are scared to go back give them a ring and explain how you are feeling. After all there are there to help you. Good luck x

You should go to the hospital. Sounds like you are starting labor. Dont worry about the doctors, they dont think your stupied...... and if they do it doesnt really matter because you wont see them for long.
Good luck and hope that everything goes well.
