If you're allowed to draw figures of nude women, for an out of school art project would it be any different if i drew a pack of cigarettes?

Maybe you could use the cig's as a springboard to something less "troublesome" to some folks. For instance- What do you really see when you look at the cigarettes? Isn't it a colorful box with a bunch of cylindrical objects in it?
I'm already trippin' dude--- I see a box of crayons-- yeah!!!
A lot cooler than cigarettes too!

The issues, for your situation, would be your access to the cigaretts, and your bringing them into the classroom. Some schools may have a "zero tolerance" policy against that.

You couldn't, for instance, bring a firearm into your classroom, even if you only intended to sketch it for a project.

You mentioned that the nude, female figure would be drawn out of the school grounds. If the project was sanctioned by the school, it should be no different for the cigarettes, other than the question about your access to the pack.

a womans nude body is more difficult than a box.
also, highschool students aren't old enough to smoke (usually) and your school may consider it to be innappropriate.

If you really want to do a cigarette box why don't you invent your own "brand" and put a detailed nude woman on the front of the carton? Then you win by bending the rules a bit, and you still make your teacher happy (how could she/he argue when you completed the assignment with extra work?)

Ha, uh...

living creature vs. inatimate object

organic form vs. geometric form

sophisticated vs.... it depends on how you do it

When I was in high school I was not allowed to draw either. Now that I'm in art school either would be accepted...I'm not sure what your situation is, or even really what you're asking. What's your class? Age level? Assignment?

From the standpoint of light and shadow, form and texture, it could serve as well as a subject, but visually? Uh Uh.
