No, I have a 28 day cycle and my luteal phase is 12 days. The average is 14 days, and the average cycle is 28 days, so that's what doctors go off of when calculating pregnancy.

No. Even if you have a period it doesn't mean ovulation. Some women don't ovulate and they still have periods. Also even with a normal 28 day cycle you can ovulate on different days.
