There always Anne Rice, Stephenie Meyer, Harry Potter, and Eragon.
But have you heard of the Crank series by Ellen Hokins?
Best series I've ever read =]
Seventeen-year-old Kristina Snow is introduced to crank on a trip to visit her wayward father. Caught up in a fast-paced, frightening, and unfamiliar world, she morphs into "Bree" after she "shakes hands with the monster." Her fearless, risk-taking alter ego grows stronger, "convincing me to be someone I never dreamed I'd want to be." When Kristina goes home, things don't return to normal. Although she tries to reconnect with her mother and her former life as a good student, her drug use soon takes over, leaving her "starving for speed" and for boys who will soon leave her scarred and pregnant. Hopkins writes in free-verse poems that paint painfully sharp images of Kristina/Bree and those around her, detailing how powerful the "monster" can be. The poems are masterpieces of word, shape, and pacing, compelling readers on to the next chapter in Kristina's spiraling world. This is a topical page-turner and a stunning portrayal of a teen's loss of direction and realistically uncertain future.

Holly Black's novel "Valant" is about a city girl who discovers an underground world of faeries and a food source for them which has drugging effects on humans. Twilight is possibly the best teen vampire book ever, there's action but mostly romance. Happy reading love Julia.

Hotel New Hampshire by John Iriving. I read it in highschool. You'll be surprised at the sex in it, it's a very very good book. Changed me as a person.
I like vampires too, but not sure where to take you here. I do have the Vampire's Dictionary, i don't know if they still sell it, but it's seriously not that cool.
But, you'll love the book Hotel New Hampshire.
I truley do hope you read it :)

I like Eragon and Eldest. Good action books (lot better than the movie). Then there's Inkheart and Inkspell. (bout a girl and her dad that can "read" things out of a book, then they get trapped in one) I like the Halo series. And my all time favorite is the Chronicles of Narnia series. I don't really have a favorite book ^_^
