Most of your answerers have failed to recognize the significance of this date. It is the day that the Mayan calendar will supposedly stop and then restart, thus as they claim, "the world's rebirth." Obviously it sounds unlikely to happen and most predictions from people in the past have always just been a waste of time, atleast when it comes to predicting when the world will end.

Well for one thing the date that people talk about is December 21 2012 not the 12. So I will answer you question as if you asked for the 21 of December in the year 2012.

Uhm, well on Dec 11, 2012 the world will be thrown into chaos by those many people who believe Dec 12 is the end. There will be alot of hangovers from people who partied on the "last night of thier life." CNN, FOX, BBC etc... will cover the chaos from Dec 11. Many people will go to work. A few will eat breakfast, a few will sleep in. A re-run of Happy days will air on tv. And Call of Duty 7 and Guitar Hero 10 will be the hit video games.

I've heard about the world coming to an end on this day, but I don't buy it. To me, it's going to be just like June, 6th, 2006(666) -Alot of speculation about bad things happening but it turning out to be a another regular day.

the mayan calendar ends! its the beginning of the age of aquarius and the planet nibiru is claimed to come into our orbit and move the poles! wish i lived in canada you'l be just above the equator to see in the new year!
