my teacher that has been playing for 3 years he said, and he said i can get something called wood working. said it is in Stormwind or Goldshire. is this true?

Wood Working is not currently a profession. At this time it has not been announced for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Blizzard has talked about someday adding it, but I wouldnt expect to see it get added to WotLK. Maybe in the expansion following it.

There isn't one. There may be one eventually but it's not happening anytime soon, since WotLK is going to have inscription

no there are gloves called woodworking gloves but no wood working profession
