I have a senile Grandma who wants piece of mind by seeing her name on it. But sometimes shesnot all there, so we don't want her to interfere if and when we sell & move.

No don't. Her rightful heirs would have the right to the property.

If she is senile, she should have a legal guardian, who would sign any necessary paperwork, and look out for her interests.

Yes you can add her if you want. HOWEVER, remember she will then have title to it, Unless you take different tenancy, Tenancy in common means if she passes you keep the house, Joint tenancy means the you will keep your share but her heirs will have her share. be careful seek legal advise from a real estate attorney, usually they will discuss it free for you.
