I think the 3 and the 6 are exponents and the instruction is to factor the expression. When posting questions try to include instructions. Here in yahoo answers single line format, exponents are written as follows:
y^3 - 125z^6
Use the formula:
(a^3 - b^3) = (a - b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)
We get:
y^3 - (5z^2)^3 = (y - 5z^2)(y^2 + 5yz^2 + 25z^4)
