To answer your question;

Desperation, plain and simple.

Because, unlike most conservatives, most liberals view their political leaders as infallible icons. In many cases, it's like they've had this 'vision' of Bill carrying Hillary over his shoulder and back into the WH since her first Senate run.

That was the plan and we all knew it. Now that the plan is showing some holes, they're having a very hard time dealing with their emotions over it and cannot believe that we all don't share in the 'vision.'

There is no other reason that accounts for the outburst of insults and the loss of temper that we repeatedly encounter from the tolerate, open-minded left.

Two reasons.

First, the war in Iraq is going very well. The better it goes, the more rabid they get. This is because they are invested in America's failure in order to satisfy their agenda. The worse America does, the happier they are. Conversely....

Secondly, the presidential election is coming up and again, their liberal ideology is at stake. Given the little Trotskyites they are, they're consumed with the rise of socialism which will allow them to abdicate any responsibility for their lives and, with it, the freedom associated with personal responsibility. They're consumed with the perceived utopia offered by the government tit. Hey, if you'd never accomplished anything and there was a chance you could elect a 'parent' to provide for you, wouldn't you feel a little desperate too?

Hope that helps.

Haven't noticed it. The right wing has been foaming at the mouth about liberals for the last 25 years or so. I guess is all in the eye of the beholder (or the ear of the listener)

Perhaps because we're sick and tired of being viciously attacked by the right. I have one, perfect example for you, and her name is...

...Ann Coulter.

Perhaps we feel it's the only way to be heard? (Honestly, I don't support it on either side, but I imagine people like her are your answer).

Do you have an example or any evidence of this? Or is this just what Limbaugh said and you have to repeat it?

I'm glad I stopped letting others do my thinking for me back when I was a child.

The left have taken very unpopular stances on amnesty for the 20 to 38 million illegal aliens in our country, and by defending Islam as a peaceful religion. Their is no logical way for them to defend their positions on these issues, so they resort to mean-spirited libel and slander of those who hold reasonable views.

Anyone opposed to amnesty for illegals is labeled a racist, and anyone who points out the violent history of Islam and the violence in the Koran is labeled an Islamophobic. If they would be more patriotic and defend their country more, they wouldn't receive so much vitriol from moderates and conservatives.

When you bring in the radical Islamist president of Iran to speak at a liberal college, whose govt is killing Americans, you tend to anger American patriots. When your liberal Hollywood makes anti-American movies like the vile, "Redacted," you are asking to be labeled a traitor.

I haven't noticed this at all. I don't feel rabid in particular about much going on. Just sad mostly that the country is in such bad shape.

Payback. Sick of Rush quotes and being called traitors and cowards. Kick a sleeping dog long enough he will wake up and bite back.
