What do you think of the Name Atlantis for a girl??

Persoanally, I don't like it, probably just because I associate it with Atlantis from the ocean. It is very unique if that's what you're going for. I just personally think that name belongs under the ocean, not on little girls' birth certificate. Sorry.

Atlantis? I dont like it, it's the name of a mythological city. If you still want that "Atlantis" feel, I suggest Atalanta. It's beautiful, graceful AND has background. Atalanta was a beautiful kings daughter who could run faster than the wind and the waves in greek mythology.

Why are people deliberately going out of their way to pick weird and waky names. What's the point. I think the simple classic names are the nicest. People are getting fed up with all the peaches and stars.

There's a golf course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina named Atlantis.
I wouldn't do it.

Its certainly not the worst name i have ever heard. Not the best either by far but its ok. Could be Ally for short.

Naming your child after a city is a bad idea. Naming your child after a mythical city is even worse.

Sorry I do not like it but your daughter is the one who will have to live with it the rest of her life not us so it relly should'nt matter what we think!

I personally do not like it, but you should name your baby whatever makes you happy! No one likes my name for my baby boy (Van) but he's my baby and I am going to name him whatever I want to name him!
