at the moment if i stop accelerating for a minute or so (especially when cold) the engine cuts out, this becomes a problem at junctions and in traffic. i have a haynes manual but i need the steps in basic terms, if i can save money by doing it myself it would be great.

Also, make sure that your PVC system (crankcase ventilation) is working properly. Is this a 1.8 liter or 2.0- liter??? Is it turbo or not??? Need more information.
