This guy is a jerk. First of all, last year this guy tested POSITIVE for steroids. Does anyone care!?!? So many people dislike Bonds, McGuire, and Palmerio for their steroid problem but when this guy tested positive, people just shrugged off the test. COME ON PEOPLE. This guy used steroids!!! Second of all, he is blaming Jeff Fisher for trying to hurt the guy and he thought he was trying for the knees. If anyone watched the play, the Titans WR or TE hammered him in the head. It isn't a cheap shot. People, wake up! If you like this guy, please, explain to me how you do!

Hey fivekids, give me a break. Yea, it is sad he had a rough childhood but still, the guy is a steroid user and no one went at his knees!!! He thought the Titans were. Read the article before you comment on it. And I am not a Titans fan.

Yeah what a jerk. The guy defies all the odds of his entire family dying when he was young, three separate homes burning down, and never having enough money, and he thinks he has the right to get upset when somebody takes a cheap shot and tries to end his career by hitting his knees! What an asshole!

Shaun (give me the juice) Merriman is a test away from another suspension. Jeff Fisher, unlike Merriman, has class and would never do anything like this. I hope the NFL investigates and then suspends Merriman for his false accusations.
Boy, those chargers sure are doing well right now. Totally undisciplined on and off the field, this organization has no class.

People like him from his lights out dance. I dont like him because he came from the University of Maryland. Merriman is whining like a ***** though. Jeff Fisher ordered the hit... so what you hurt their QB and knocking Shawn out would be a way to hype up the team. Sorry you have Norv and teammates who wouldnt do the same for you, so go on radio and cry about it.

Met enough Professional athletes that I couldn't root for any of them If I considered anything outside of performance on the field. I've seen even "good guys" like Barry Sanders be complete jerks so, I don't care what he does, he fun to watch. Best LB since Lawrence Taylor.
And by the way he's been the best defensive player in the league the past month.

well id say he is popular because he is off to one of the greatest starts of a career of any player of his position ever. hows that?
not a merriman fan or chargers fan so i really dont mean to stick up for him- but i think it was more an instance of not being careful enough which supplements he chose rather than an instance of loading up on steroids. breaking the rules is breaking the rules, but i dont think it was like bonds

Interesting to note that after his steroid bust his performance this year has been average at best. Do some still think he was wrongfully accused of taking steroids?

He had one of the best rookie seasons in history. Then he got caught on steriods. Now he's just an average LB. Hmmm.... Maybe there's a connection?

As a Raider fan I can't stand him. He seems to have slipped a little from last season. So maybe whatever he was taking was a major part of his success.
