I would be sooooo so tempted, but I think that for the sake of trust between the both of us, I would refrain. I know that when I write in my journal, I write to blow off steam. I write things that aren't for anyone to see, just to get my frustrations out. I say things I don't really mean, and I always feel better when I am done. Sometimes you just need some time to yourself and that is what my journal is for me, so no, I would most def not read his despite my curiosity.

No never, funny my mother was just talking about this just yesterday and why all her kids do not have this habit. I use to have an uncle before he traveled he asked if anyone had letters they wanted to send to loved ones, so he will have something to do in the plane.

Her conclusion was because she never invaded our privacy, we have grown up to respect others privacy, it was a long talk but this is condensing it.

There's a huge difference between a Diary and a Journal. I wouldn't read a diary if someone asked me. I wouldn't read a journal unless someone asked me.

if they left it in plain view I would....I know most people will say no they wouldn't invade someone's privacy like that but come on now...most of them are lying because they know that admitting that you would do that sounds worse than being honest and saying you have or would. If we were all really honest with ourselves and this question most people would admit they would.

If they wouldn't it's because they are scared of what they would find out.

this is my opinion.

No, certainly not. Same goes for e-mail or anything else of that nature.

I would think if someone did do that it would be because they don't trust the person they are with and they don't respect them.

If someone did that to me, I would loose a great deal of respect and trust in them.

I'm curiouser than a cat, so I'd be itching to know what was on his mind.

But I wouldn't do it, not in a million years. I've had my diary gone thru and it's a horrible, horrible feeling to know that your privacy has been violated like that.

Nope.

Not unless we were divorced and I would hold something against them in court. In my humble opinion it is a bad bad bad thing to know everything about your significant other.

for example, I dont want to know if she thinks I am too heavy. I dont want to know if she dreads going to bed with me, and I surely would not want to know if she secretly thought that my best friend was hot and wanted to ride him like a Harley Sportster.

There are certain things that need to be "personal" so that there is a little "mystery" in a relationship. that way you can always find out new stuff, or have something to talk about.

Sorry--too much.

No. Those are personal thoughts that belong only to the person that wrote it. There are times when they may want to share but outside that it is completely off limits.

no, his pennmanship is more illegible than my own, it would be pointless. sometimes he leaves his songwriting books out and i'll read what he's written and a few times it's been interesting as far as "who is THIS about?". i have this little spiral bound book that i jot down stuff in or paste funny pictures i find. there were a few "entries" in there where i wrote about him, and yes, he read them. it made him happy though because it was about how much i love him and all that sappy shitt.
