ever become President?

I mean the 2008 election is the biggest moment in women's history since women were granted the right to vote about 100 years ago and Oprah doesn't want Hilary to become President. Now there has got to be something very wrong w/ Hilary Clinton to make Oprah not want her to become the 1st Woman US President otherwise how else can you explain the #1 woman in America decision to go for a man like Obama?

I'd especially love to hear a female lib try to explain that one.

Your logic is flawed. And wrong. If Oprah should decide who should be our next president, they we don't need to vote. Thank God she cannot make that decision for the entire country.

Explain what? That Oprah has a different opinion? So what. It's not as though every woman in America thinks in lockstep with Oprah. She is hardly a political heavy weight. It's about the only area in which she doesn't have a leg to stand on. The woman hasn't even voted since 1985! She can influence women about books they read, and do the great work she does for poverty and so on, she can make shrinks or doctors famous because she backs them, she can do many things. But she is NOT an expert on politics, and women are smart enough to know that. Just because Oprah doesn't support the first viable female candidate for President doesn't mean anything to anyone who votes. Not her area of expertise, sorry. Don't make the mistake of thinking women are robots and when it comes to Oprah they'll just do what she says, they won't. Women take their votes just as seriously as men do.

Based on recent events I would say likely "No". However you can not "forget" Clinton she is the first woman to gain delegates in either party while running for the Democratic Nomination for President. You also can not forget Geraldine Ferraro the 1984 Democratic nominee for Vice-President. Why does it take 24 years for another woman to run for either the president or vice president? An interesting person to read about in this matter is Jeannette Rankin the 1st woman Congresswoman who was elected on November 7, 1916 she was elected to the House of Representatives as a Republican (shocking!!!) from Montana, becoming the first female member of Congress. The Nineteenth Amendment (which gave women the right to vote everywhere in the United States) was not ratified until 1920 so Rankin's first term in Congress (1917-1919), women throughout the country did not have the right to vote. Figure that one out!

I agree that I do not want Hillary as President! Is it because she is a woman? It has nothing to do with that fact. It's more of an issue with not being able to trust her in ANY form. What makes you think that Oprah is the most powerful woman in the US? Maybe some magazine said so? I don't believe she is. Oprah has NO influence on who I vote for, and never will. I tend to agree with patrick, I would say that Condi Rice is the most powerful woman in the US right now. What power does Oprah have?

Oprah is a Woman ???----You sure could have fooled me. ----The ONLY thing that is right with Hillary is that she is a Woman.- As a Senator, Attorney, Politician & Human Being ...Hillary is the WORST.--- Ask the staffers & employees who worked in the White House when Bill was President & had to deal with Hillary's wrath on a continual basis ??

Who the hell CARES what Oprah thinks. If you're going to base your vote on what a talk show queen thinks, I feel sorry for you.
