Do Americans have "enough"?
Do Americans have "enough" whether it is money, power, oil, or anything other you can think of?
Would you be satisfied with just enough, or do many Americans not have enough, or do we have too much? What are the environmental, social, and global consequences of how much each of us has and consumes? Who is responsible for deciding what is enough?

Personally, I have enough. I have a loving family, a place to live, a job I love and that I am good at with a good salary, enough food, transportation, a computer and good books to read. Could I use more? Sure. Do I NEED more? Nope. And I am thankful and satisfied with my life.
I am lucky to have enough, and then even some left over to donate to some wonderful organizations like the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

I've had enough of a partisan government that cares not one wit for the people that have put them in office. Americans that are able to think independently and intelligently need to plan to vote all incumbents out of office in 2008. I'm mad as hell and ain't going to take it anymore. Draft Lou Dobbs.

I have food, shelter, clothing and a job. I would say that I have enough. Would I like to have more, sure, but why be greedy when I have what I need.

Each person gets to decide how much is enough. Not some elite dictator. It is why freedom and capitalism work. Because we each get to decide and we work and strive to get what we want. But to do that we have to PRODUCE what others want.

It's not about how much you have, It's about having Goals and working to achieve those Goals.

Good question. And those who say they will decide when they have had enough and it's no ones business are parasites on society. But that's just my opinion.
