bunch of harden criminals? Many times he/she is just a kid unless their family has money & fame. How can a defense lawyer allow this to happen if he does isn't he just as guilty as the person who commited the crime b/c hes actually covering it up by clouding the facts? How can he/she live with themselves knowing their client was guilty but they got him off with a loophole or twist of the law & words but the facts are the same & will not change. You can rewrite history but you cant change it.

It seems those that screw the most people, get off easier, then the one without power on the street who shoplifts. The class system is alive and well. Think of Enron. Those guys destroyed so many lives, yet they didn't end up in a crowded prison, getting raped, among other things. They get sent to a beautiful prison-hotel. Money can sure get you alot of things, even freedom.

Defense lawyers don't "allow" things to happen, they defend their client to the limits of law and ethics. That is their role, to which they are sworn as an officer of the court. An advocate represents his client without passion or prejudice.

The defense attorney's job is to MAKE the prosecution prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. If the jury isn't convinced, that's not the defense attorney's fault...it's the prosecution's.

Facts do not speak for themselves. They are always subject to interpretation. Is the system perfect? No. But by and large, we get it right...and you'd want YOUR attorney to do everything possible if you were accused.

You know it isn't fair that all 1st timers go to jail because if you can' t afford a attorney and you are stuck with a public defender your screwed especially if your minority! well that is in the state of Oklahoma anyway, you don;t have any money you are up a creek without a paddle and further more law is there because without it or society would be messed up and as a women I 'm glad cause we would probably have no rights and would be slaves.

Lawyers must not use technicalities for the acquittal of the accused. Foul and unfair strategies must not destroy the administration of justice.
