It is not still going on as such.

Industry is still advancing, but its more in a robotic form now or in an electronic way.

I guess you could say it ended with the growth of electronics.

This is a matter of debate! However, I assume you're taking a history class, so I'll give you the traditional historic interpretation.

The 2nd Industrial Revolution ended in the early 1900s. It is mostly associated with: the bessemer process, internal combustion engines, skyscrapers, assembly-line, etc. It was followed by the Atomic Age, the Space Age, and the Communication Revolution.
