yes, it depends on person to person, but generally seeing is better than hearing and hearing is better than reading.
but the best the best way is to see, listen, feel and read simultaneously ie getting involved in act.
like best way to learn to drive a car is not hearing or seeing or reading but is to sit in driver seat with someone besides telling you the finer points...

It depends on the person, really. I am a contextual learner. For me, I learn better if I can have a discussion about something. It is by participating in a conversation that I can recall better. So, in a sense, for me, it would be hearing.

personally i think by seeing things. But i remember knowing something about that this depends on the person whether he has a visual memory or auditory i think or something like that.

It depends...people are either auditory learners or visual learners....as a special education teacher, I have had students that favor one over the other and when I teach to their strength, I get great results.

By seeing. The mind works with pictures. when you see things, it is registered in your mind as a picture and it stays longer. Ever heard the phrase " A picture is worth a thousand words?" Nuff said.
