Phil Jackson uses Tex Winters' "Triangle Offense". In the Triangle Offense a "playmaking PG" is not necessary and can inhibit the offensive flow. Gary Payton had a horrible time trying to adjust his game to that offense.

The Lakers need one player that would make all the difference intheir team and that is Jason Kidd. Kidd is an assit machine and that would fit right in with Kobe scoring the bulk of the points and would also keep Kobe in Los Angeles. The perfect player for their offense is Andre Miller... gives you 10-15 points, 7-10 dimes and he can play solid D. Could get him at the trade deadline from the pathetic Sixers for cheaper than Kidd.

They'v got a Center and you're right about the PG
Lakers will be fighting for 1st place if they trade or sign an average player like Deron Williams or Jason Kidd

They already have that kind of PG's and there names is Farmar and Javaris, besides its not necessary to have those type of pg in the triangle, there both good scorers.
