Most places won't do it. It involves one of two invasive and potentially risky procedures. The first, a chorionic villus sampling, is performed at about 10-12 weeks and cells are taken from the pregnancy with a biopsy needle. The second is by amniocentesis, performed at anytime after about 15 weeks, and a needle punctures through the abdomen and uterus and takes a fluid sample which contains fetal cells.

Both should not be used for paternity reasons alone and should be only used for medical diagnostic procedures. They are expensive, and the cost could range from several hundred to over a thousand dollars for an amnio.

As much as you'd like to know beforehand, it really shouldn't be done. You can do a simple cheek cell swab or a blood test after the baby is born for only a couple hundred dollars, and no risk to the mom or baby.

Good luck.

A DNA test can be done via amniocentesis. If paternity is the only reason for the amniocentesis to be done, most doctors will discourage it due to the high risk of miscarriage associated with an amniocentesis. It can be done as early as the 10th week of pregnancy. The cost of a paternity test can range from $250-$2000 depending on where you live and if you decide to have the test done before the baby is born, or wait until after. If you wait until after the baby is born, mom, "dad", and baby will all have a saliva swab taken and tested. There are no risks to performing a paternity test after the baby is born.

Most of the time they will make you wait until the child is born before doing a paternity test- and I can't see them being cheap! But if you might be the dad or might not- make sure to have the test done while she's in the hospital before you sign the birth certificate!

I wouldn't know the whole thing since I know the father of my baby- But I know others that have had to do this.

Unless you have alot of money lying around forget until the baby is born. Those prenatal tests cost alot and MOM has to agree with having them done.

After the birth t will cost about $300.

Do not sign the birth certificate unless you know for sure you are the father.

Hugs you are talking about a different method than PRENATAL.

You can't get a paternity test until the baby is born. Cost is about $300 depending on where you go.

You have two options, they both must happen in the 2nd trimester. A needle is insterted and guided throu an ultrasound to take some amniotic fluid, or a needle is inserted into the cervix to take the fluid, these can cost up to $2,000. Please know that there is risk to the baby if you choose to do this. Hope this helps!

Well I don't know the cost. I know it can be done, but not without high risks to the pregnancy. It can cause her to miscarry the baby. In all honesty its not worth it if you ask me. You slept with her... you trusted her through that time. You should trust her still unless you have 100% reason to not trust her (like you caught her cheating or she admitted to it). Otherwise be a man and step up. If step back because you don't know you could miss out on some of the most importent parts of your babys life. Like his/her birth and first few months of life.

he rubs the inside of his mouth and gets a different one and rubs the inside of babys mouth and there are tons of local places in most areas who will do it.
