You can't be giving up 25+ points a game and expect to make it to the Superbowl. The offense is great but hopefully they can shore up the secondary. I am not dogging them but despite their 12-1 record its a different ballgame in the playoffs. Just my honest assessment.

Cowboys are a great team. Even the Patriots gave up that many points as well. Every team has its bad days. I think Cowboys and Patoits in the Superbowl. Hopfully Cowboys will beat Patriots.

Well, if the Cowboys defense can play like they did against Green Bay when Brett Favre was in. Then they can let the Romo and the Offense do the rest. But you are right, they are suspect and you never know from week to week which defense is going to show up. But every great team has games like this throughout the season. What makes them great is pulling through with a win in the end. Dallas has had two games like that this season, New England has had three.

People forget this defense lost it's starting Nose Tackle in the first game.
Didn't have Newman until the 6th game.
Lost Henry in the 4th game, and he was out until the Green Bay Game as a starter.
They are just getting their pieces healthy. They are working Tank Johnson in, who just started playing the 10th game.
Newman banged up his ankle verse Green Bay, so their is no telling if he is 100% or not.

Before we talking about their Defense like someone said earlier, you need to check the pieces that were missing for Dallas as well. We won't know if they are good enough to get to the Super Bowl until Jan 1st. Because that is when the playoff field is set.

They have beaten most of the teams that are in the playoff field, but that doesn't mean anything during the playoffs.

The Dallas defense couldn't lead the Cowboys to water if they were in the middle of the ocean. If the Cowboys get to the Super Bowl it will be because of the offense. They'll most likely need to score a minimum of 30 pts in every playoff game if they're going to win.

I think Dallas is the class of the NFC, and they will make it to the Super Bowl, but they will not win. I'd like to see Pats / Packers, so the Pats can get some revenge on Brett Farve for 1996, but they won't beat the Cowboys in Dallas. The AFC representitive will be the Pats or Colts, and I think either team beats Dallas in the SB.

You have to look at the whole season to tell. Most of the teams with winning records that Dallas has played has had hurt defenses and the Cowboys won example 3 starter on D when the played the Pack and when they Played the Giants and when they played Buffalo who was playing 3 rd string defense. The Pats were the only team that played the Cowboys with a healthy first string Defense.and you seen the results. Now if Dallas stays lucky and the teams they play have hurt defenses they will go to the SB if not Dallas will lose in the playoffs. No one has rocked Romo yet someone will hit him for real soon most likely in the playoffs.

The Patriots gave that many points up several times this year and their undefeated so far, so apparently you can. Also, Dallas hasn't done that all the time or anything. Teams have bad games no matter how much talent you have on a team. Their defense was on the field quite a lot last game, the offense wasn't doing so great in ball control.

I agree the defense is going to have to get better especially on third down. How many times has this defense given up a first down on third and long? I am a die hard cowboys fan but any team that has a good passing game seems to chew up big chunks of yardage against them.

Dallas' defense on paper looks great and they have a defensive guru in Phillips. However, they have not played up to expectations and if the defense doesn't improve there is no way they stand a chance against the Pats.

They're good but they can't stop New England and I kind of wonder whether they could stop Indy too. They are definitely the favorite to come out of the NFC though. I just don't see anyone beating the Patriots. Dallas MAYBE could but they'd have to play an absolute 100% perfect game and I just don't see it happening.
