Yes especially cookies! We just had a cookie exchange and also some dinners at friends. We'll have people over in the next couple of weeks so it's fun to do platters of foods for a lot of people. The kids love baking the cookies but not eating them so they are good gifts as well. Same goes for breads and candies.
What else is there to do when you're snowed in !?! LOL

Yes, but I always wonder why as I seem to eat the most of it. I enjoy baking, and always try to make the same favourites each year.

I LOVE BAKING FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!! An easy one to do is baked apples in a slow cooker...
Core out some apples and fill with pecans, walnuts, (finely chopped) butter, Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg (pumpkin spices), dried apricots, pears, currents, etc...
Put in slow cooker till apples come out tender. It will make your house smell soooooo gooooood!!!

oh lord yeah, you should see my house on christmas eve. my mom running all over the kitchen baking cookies and pies and all sorts of other things....

Yes, I have made goody bags for my kids since they all moved out. They don't even care about what I buy for them, they just want the goodies. Last year I hid them and I thought they were going to cry. I love to cook.
