well the price of fuel has gone way above that old threshold price. why are we just sitting doing nothing. "hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way!" i'm starting to believe that. why are we not forcing the government to drop the duty on fuel again. we did so well last time. a little hardship got us what we wanted, and wiped that smug grin off the governments faces. "all together now!"

I hear ya. The thing is, it was nigh on impossible to buy fuel back then and if the same were to happen now I would lose too much in business revenue.

I'm not alone, there are many others out there that would be affected similarly if the same situation arose.

It will not happen....as for some reason the will of the British person has been wiped away into oblivion. it could be something the government have put in the water that has caused this.
The people of Britain seem to have lost the will to stand united and fight for what they believe in.
I tried to organise a small rolling road bloke around my local garage, people said they'd be there but i was the only one that turned up, and believe me it hard to block a garage forecourt in a mini.
COME ON PEOPLE OF BRITAIN....STOP LETTING THE GOVERNMENT AND THE OIL COMPANIES WALK ALL OVER US. LETS GET OUT THERE AND STAND UNITED.

Because we are getting fatter and lazier as a nation. The gov't knows best you know. Our lethargy leads the way when it comes to issues. It's easier to play pop culture games than it is to demand change. And nowadays people have become so calloused to the political cries of wolf that they don't recognize when he's at the dinner table. Nobody is willing to believe that their gov't would mislead them. Its a bad trend. People haven't changed. What we know and what's important to us has.

Because we have become sheep who are told we are socialist when we ask for some return on our votes and our tax dollars.
And our governments need the money, so they aren't going to cut the throat of a very rich cash cow.

There is never any shortage of petrol. The countries that produce it tell us that all the time, because their economies rely on it. our government tells us there is a crisis,so they can put the price of it up! and unfortunately there is not a thing we can do about it.
