I'm a big fan of Obama, and of Oprah, but was disappointed by Oprahs support of Obama. In her speeches for Obama, she clearly wasn't talking how she typically does on her show. It was nothing short of pandering, and I didn't like it. What do you guys think of her speeches for Obama?

I agree completely. Oprah is a windbag whose opinion is of no consequence to me.

I am not a racist, by any meaning of the word. I would vote for the best person out there, regardless of what color, or gender that person may be. It is a well known fact that over the years, Oprah has stayed away from politics, and never backed anyone openly. It just seems a little more than coincidence that the guy she finally backs is black. I think a lot af America notices this too. Best part is, that Oprah probably has more experience than Obama at being President. Let's not forget, not only did Oprah back a book that turned out to be bogus, but she also backed the plastic surgeon who performed the surgery on that Singers mother who recently died. Not a very good track record there!

It most be a big deal. This board has been flooded with Oprah Obama questions for the last few days. Other celebrities are endorsing other candidates and have done it for years. If you think about it, this election is more important than in past years. We are on the brink of WW III and bankruptcy. Oprah has just as much right to be heard as anyone else. I am not an Oprah follower but I loved her speeches.

No she isn't helping him certainly via reality he's black. She facilitates him via reality he has an identical Left-wing view ingredient as her and he's working on the Democratic celebration fee cost ticket. Condoleeza Rice is black, yet in addition reliable-wing and a Republican and each physique comprehend that Oprah might quicker spit in Condoleeza's eye till finally now she cautioned her candidacy (if Condoleeza ran.)

Didn't she once endorse some books that were bogus?

I know she can sway a lot of people who can't think for themselves, but in general her opinion isn't worth much.

Nothing wrong with getting support through celebrities, but he'd be better off telling us how he can correct a lot of the real issues we're concerned about these days like high taxes, immigration and keeping us safe from terrorist attacks.

Studies show that celebrity backing of a candidate does little help. Obama should look somewhere else for backing.

I'm not swayed by celebrities endorsing candidates. Why is her opinion any more important than that of the guy who fixes my car or the woman who cuts my hair?
