NOT AGAIN! These lies have been posted / asked on this forum again and again.

The picture in question was taken during the National Anthem NOT the pledge of allegiance. It is not a patriotic requirement to put your hand on your heart during the National Anthem. It is a requirement to stand and take your hat off if you are wearing one. Last time I checked Obama is standing and not wearing a hat. Obama did nothing wrong by not puting his hand on his heart. This is the right wing media's attempt to spin something to make Obama look bad.

Do a little research before you post garbage like this again, it makes you look ignorant.

We could also wonder how anyone could have voted for Bill Clinton, who is infamous for having said, "I loathe the military". Clinton was also not such a popular character around the military because of the weak, half-hearted "salutes" he would give.

Not only should a President recite the pledge, but he should do it both willingly and with enthusiasm, not just mouth the words like some bored sixth graders.

Watch the video (first link below), and see how the pledge of allegiance should be recited: with pride, purpose, patriotism, and an understanding of what the pledge really means. I don't think Obama has ever even stopped to consider what the Pledge of Allegiance really means. The pledge should bring a lump to your throat. Obama acts like it is some monotonous chore.

That is very telling of his character.

Recent reports about Obama are troubling; it appears he's had his eye on the White House for quite a while now. This is another case of someone who is more interested in self-promotion than doing a good job.

Look at the huge difference between a person like Ronald Reagan, who loved America deeply, and was patriotic in every way one can imagine. When he lost his first bid for President, he had no problems accepting the defeat, and he cheerfully went back to life as usual. Reagan's love for America transcended his own ambition.

Now compare that with people like Al Gore. This guy seems to gave gained 50 pounds as a result of the psychological trauma of his loss. Many people say Hillary will have a complete nervous breakdown if she loses. When Obama fails to win, I have no doubt he will act out badly. We'll see the real Obama, just as we saw the real Bill Clinton in that now infamous Chris Wallace interview.

ADDENDUM: In response to a person below, allow me to respectfully correct you. The U.S. Flag Code states that "During a rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present, except those in uniform, should stand at attention facing the flag, with the right hand over the heart."

This respondant also said it is not "required". Now we all know that is not true, but let's suppose it were: the whole point is that, the way one acts in situations like this tells a lot about that person's character, and how they view things. Clearly, Obama does not have a lot of respect for cherished American institutions. As a leader, he is supposed to LEAD and INSPIRE.

If leading politicians stop observing these traditions, they weaken them. Evidently, he does not care.

He is no better than Hillary. Neither one care about this country only there own ambitions.
A man running for president of this country, should be totally loyal to it. If he cannot put his hand on his heart, during the pledge, this is scary.

I'm not voting for him because he is too liberal. Anyone who thinks its OK to murder an unborn child will never get my vote.
