How do you convince someone that you really want them out of your life? After years of marriage, my husband doesn't believe that I really want a divorce. He won't leave, he refuses to see how unhappy he makes me. I ask at least once a week for a divorce and ask him to leave. I don't want to have to kick him out as he really does deserve better then that. So how to deal with the situtation?

He's say, I don't mean it, and that he would be worried about how I would make it (I'm not worried in the least), he tells me that I do love him (and I don't), and then he tells me he has no where to go, and can't afford to move.

Then he continues with saying I have a mental problem, (not true), and that I'm bi-polar, that I'm being unfair. etc.

If you have decided you want a divorce. If you are sick and tired of living with him, and very unhappy, you need to take action to file for a divorce - get a lawyer to help you on the case. Do not do it alone. You need profession help, protection when you deal with this kind of situation. Of course, the best way is not to get too ugly, but you can not live any more. You have to take stronger action, not considering his feeling any more. Good Luck!

That would drive me insane. I am sorry to say this but you just need to get an attorney make him sign the divorce papers, if he won't leave have your attorney draw up a restraining order, Be a ***** its ok! He is asking for it. You have already tried being nice. Good luck!

If you are that serious about getting a divorce. Then go get an lawyer and draw up divorce papers. I think when you hand them to him signed and ask for his signature maybe he will get the picture. Some people just do not see whats right in front of them.

Change the locks, and leave him a letter in the mailbox explaining everything -- one that leaves no room for questions. If you have a garage, pack all of his things and leave them in the garage, and request in your letter that he moves all things within the next month. Maybe even write him a check for first months rent and damage deposit somewhere.

Go to the courthouse and file for divorce. Actions speak louder than words!

at some point you are going to have to stop have regard for his feelings and go with your own. yes, he deserves better than a kick to the curb, but that's about the only choice that he's leaving you. if he doesn't think that you're serious, show him that you are.

You need to take charge and move out. Even if it's going to cost you money. You're giving him power.
