Both shavers seem to be equally matched except for price. But I think I would spend the extra twenty bucks and get the second one cause it has a three minute rapid charge!

I trust Braun very much as a brand and I would go for the Braun Activator 8585 Package. Though it is a bit more expensive, it seems like it is much more convenience, efficient, and will work for a busy man at home or on the go. I would love that gift...
Want to top it off? Give him a subscription to Sports Illustrated magazine for only $39.95 for 18 months. An easy buy, thoughful gift, AND it comes with a FREE fleece with the logo of the football team of his choice.

I would go for the $139 model. I like the contour hugging head. There's always some place where the regular shavers miss.
