to me, any concept of peace must include non-violence
and a beggining point is to allow children to grow up with the expectation of being violence free
speak out against any violence towards children, even the so called "spanking", do this in your daily life, take a firm stand against it,
sometimes this is hard to do, as its not something you think of worldwide, but family , community wide, speak up for that child being hit, the most innocent victim,

Peace...the elusive element that man has searched for, down through the centuries. Any activity will take a long time in developing into true peace. To start, you have to be at peace yourself and have patience as second nature. Do everyday causes of peace, helping others with out any request in return. Prevent aggression at every turn, speak up with reason against bigotry and ignorance, and many smaller examples. Only when you have influenced others can you say that there is a start for peace.

Activity is the opposite of peace. Is an active sea at peace? What can you DO to make peace? You will use force or some other action. How can action make peace happen? That is exactly why there is war.
You think you can force peace with action. Might as well try and bring light with darkness.
