It’s not uncommon to miss a period. In itself, that’s not a worrisome symptom, however if you miss a couple of periods and you have done a pregnancy test (incase there's a possibility that you might be pregnant) you may have to consult with your doctor because if you're not pregnant, there could be some other problem that needs to be evaluated.
There are many possible reasons for a missed period, including stress, weight gain/loss, hormonal abnormalities, which cause fluctuating levels of the hormones needed to support menstruation, illness and certain medications.
I would recommend that you consult with your doctor/gynaecologist for further evaluation and to rule out any serious causes.
Good luck :)

if you've only had your period for like a year then it's possible that you just have an irregular period and that's completely normal. in the first two years of having your period the length of time between period may vary. when i was like 13 i think i went a whole summer without it once. i'd get it in four weeks or five or even a few months.
if you've had your period for a while and usually get it regularly then it's probably something else. if you've been starving yourself or exercising too much that may play a part. you say you're sure you're not pregnant so i'm assuming you're a virgin. because if you have had sex since your last period there's ALWAYS a chance. call a doctor or have your mom call to see if this sort of thing is normal. i'm not an expert :(

If you've been exercising excessively and/or dropped a significant amount of weight, that can cause you to miss periods. (By the way, this circumstance is unhealthy, and you should watch that you don't get too underweight...)
Otherwise, it might just be stress.

Stress and pregnancy.
If you've had sex, you could be pregnant, even if you used birth control.
How old are you? Are you usually regular? Are you on birth control?
