I have just completed my top 3 with a trip to Houston this weekend - the other two were Rosetta Stone (London) and the Hope Diamond (D.C.)

1. "The Mona Lisa" by Leonardo Da Vinci
2. "The School of Athens" by Raphael
3. St. Peter's Cathedral (if you could call it a museum piece).

I was very fortunate to see the Dead Sea Scrolls here in San Diego, CA (they are on loan from Israeli and Jordinian archeological museums).

Cool question!

I have seen quite a bit. Been to the Louvre (seen Mona Lisa), Sistine chapel, seen the statue of David( spent a lot of time in Italy). I live in DC, so of course I have seen the hope diamond too.

I would have to say Egyptian art(and pyramids) and some places in Greece. I do remember seeing King Tut as a little girl when it toured many YEARS ago. And perhaps some work by Darger (a strange "outsider" artist from Chicago).

Last cool one I saw was Grant Woods "American Gothic", it came to DC about 2 years ago. Much smaller than I expected it to be...but cool to see it.
