i want to be an OB/GYN, do you think the job is really that gross?

No :) It's an amazing job. I did a preceptorship in Labor & Delivery as a student nurse and I LOVED it. Helping deliver babies is an awesome experience!

Doing vaginal exams and pap smears and ultrasounds BEFORE the baby is born is also part of the job, but I don't think anyone thinks of it as "gross"...

it can be, depending of course upon your personal definition of "gross".
