How do you like these names for my Aries Son to be born in April?

Jalen Gabriel is going to be his first and middle name. I was going to name him Kingston at first but so many of my family members seemed conflicted over it. What do you think?

I appreciate your creativity ... but remember, you are not naming a boy or even a child. You are naming a man. He will be a child for a short time, but will live the rest of his adult life with the name you choose for him.

Don't saddle him with a name that you wouldn't want as an adult male. Gabriel is a great name, ripe with biblical and historical significance. Jalen, while it sounds good right now, will quickly tire in its creativeness. What you are really naming the adult is Jay, because that's what he'll put on anything requiring him to list his name.

I don't mean to be hurtful, but I have 4 sons, and I'm all too aware of some of the choices others have made for their boys (including my parents) only to have their sons grow to resent their names as they got older.

Seriously, unless you are prepared to handle the fallout of naming your son Jalen, I would sit down and give this due diligence before writing it on the birth certificate.

I love the name Jalen. I was going to name my son that but his grandmother kept calling him Jarret. That is a strong name for an April born Aries. Keep it in your arsenal. Did you ever try to change the order to Gabriel Jalen? It has a nice sound also.

I can't tell you what to name your child, that's your business...but since you're asking, I think Jalen is about the dumbest name Ive ever heard in my entire life. If you want his nickname to be Jail, fine. Think about it. Are you smokin a big fatty while youre writing down names? Gabriel is a great name.Kingston is a helluva lot better than Jalen...although youll seem like a Gwen Stefani wannabe...think of your therapy bills for young Jalen when he has two black eyes and a huge wedgie from the playground bullies.

I like the name Jalen Gabriel but I would spell Jalen
Jaylen,Jaylon and Kingston
Im all for unique names but I ve never heard of a baby called Kingston before

Yep if you go with the first combo switch the two around (Gabriel Jalen) - but Kingston is a pretty cool name too, maybe Gabriel Kingston or vice versa.

I was born in August so my mother named me June. Now that's not too bad but my father calls me William. It was tuff growing up in a big city named June William and that's being a guy.. Please don't name him April. My Confirmation name is Gabriel, whew that was a relief, my Mother wanted May. My Mother had 7 boys before my sister came along and guess what she named her.....
