I don't get a bonus either. We used to have a large party for all the employees and their families.
Now the boss and his wife adopt a needy family and provide Christmas for them. I think this is the best gift in the world. We don't make a fantastic salary, but we have jobs. There are a lot of elderly people and we have high unemployment. Yes, I would love to see a bonus, but it is a better 'bonus' to know someone that is less fortunate will be able to enjoy the holidays.

The most I've gotten was $1600. After September 11th my job cut it down by 1/2 each year and for the last 3 or 4 years they gave me $300.

I work for a government agency, so I do not get a Christmas bonus.
