Not my wife, she is a mother to my children about 90% of the time at home. 8% of the time she's asleep and the other 2 percent she's a wife.

In some relationships the spouse take the place of the parent..they are usually pretty unhealthy relationships. My husband doesn't treat me like he is my dad and I don't act like his mom. We are adults and don't need anyone telling us what to do including each other.

Me and my hubby share everything in the house right down to cleaning the loo, I didn't replace his mother and he didn't replace my father.

only if you allow yourself to fall into this habit. marriage is a partnership. we do thing equally. but then if i could stay home all day and not work 50 odd hours, i would gladly mother him to death, lol
