On Saturday night, Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz, Josh Howard scored 47 points.
That's 17 more than his previous game record (of 30). and he found room for 10 more rebounds!

Did this surprise anybody else? Usually it's Jason Terry scoring the majority...

No it didn't surprise me at all, the problem with Josh Howard is that he always comes out aggressive at the start of the game but he usually loses his aggression in the second half but versus the jazz he stayed aggressive and ended up with 47 points. He reminds me of a young michael finley but his defense needs to improve.

No. He always gets fast starts but tends to cool off later in the game. If he stays aggressive for 4 quarters he can easily average 25 ppg.

No, not at all. He has been taking the most shots in the majority of their games and has been playing very well this year, trying to make up for Dirk's declined performance.

not at all. he's capable of scoring and he'd probably average over 27 on another team. And lets not forget, he is from the class of 03.

No, it didn't surprise me. I think it's about time he stopped deferring to Dirk. The Mavericks need someone with the killer instinct and we all know Dirk doesn't have it.

He is a player with a big upside potential and I believe we will start to see some big games from him, he certainly has the ability.
