It has occurred to me that what the conservatives need is a NORTHERN strategy. They already have the south - sure, maybe the religious fundamentalists won't work as hard as they did for Bush, but maybe they don't have to. If Giuliani can pickup PA, NJ, maybe some New England states, keep the rocky mountain states from bolting, he should be a shoe in. He could still loose Florida, CA, NY and win.

EDIT:
Well, nearly everyone says no way, which is encouraging. I just can't see the south voting for Hilliary or Obama for that matter. But I don't see the North, The West or North East voting Republican unless it is a moderate like Giuliani.

First of all, Giuliani will not pick up those states. Remember, Giuliani lost to Hillary Clinton in a Senate Race for NY. What Northern staters see as good in a Mayor, they won't necessarily see as good for a President. Rudy won't win NY, NJ or MA. He might be able to win Ct. PA will be close whoever is running. But he will lose Southern states that any other Republican would win.

Hillary or Obama would have much more appeal to Southern Christian voters than Rudy.

No matter who is the Republican, they won't win the white house for a few terms. Possibly the senate and congress but not the white house.

People are ignorant and think every Republican is a "neo-conservative" and every Democrat is the savior of the country.

The only person who could win would be Ron Paul, but he definitely won't win the primary. To bad.

No way a republican can be elected president after bush screwed the country up.

Not after his disastrous interview with Tim Russert on "Meet the Press."

He could. I don't believe the Christian right won't vote for him if he get's the nomination.

I think Hillary is in for some surprises for sure in terms of popularity. I think Rudy could whip her in a debate.
