You know that part in The Golden Compass where the two talking bears are fighting and one bear rips the other one's lower jaw off? Was that in the book, 'cause that was cool.

Katy L - Get a life! That movie was bad-a**. And that means something, coming from a guy who hates everything (including your non-existing god)!

That *did* happen in the book. Made my jaw have sympathy pains. Those armored bears do NOT mess around.

Yes it's in the book, watched the movie this week end, loved it. Katy L don't be so dramatic, I'm a christian too, that doesn't mean I'm offended by the movie (or book) it's a FICTION!!!get over it!!

I read the book and I think it was in there. I'm not 100% sure though, I've read the other two in the series since then.

The Golden Compass? That book never should've been written, much less should the movie have been produced. In case you don't already know, it is all Antigod. Through symbolism, God is killed. It is overall the opposite of The Chronicles of Narnia. I'm not trying to be rude or snobby, I just get very alarmed at the high interest of The Golden Compass, movie or book.
