Will the sims 2 pc game work on windows vista?

im getting a laptop 4 xmas and want sims 2 and would like to buy sims 2 before xmas, my laptop will be windows vista. On the package say all apart from vista will it work.

The sims 2 should work on any windows vista computer one you have your new laptop set up go onto www.systemrequirementlab.com then click the link "can you run it?" then click on the scroll down and find the sims 2 it will take about 1 miniut to load then it should tell yo the system requirements you need on your computer in order for the game to work or run faster. If it shows that its slow on your computer lower the graphics on the game which will increase performance (speed)

Yes, but you will have to enable it while logged in as administrator.

Be careful - Vista takes up a ton of RAM, and Sims 2 does as well ... you'll need to have more than the minimum system requirements in your laptop or run the risk of having a slow, choppy, unplayable game.

Try running in Compatibility mode for XP Go to the applications icon right click press properties then to compatibility Tab select 'Run this program in Compatibility Mode for:' and select 'Windows XP Service Pack 2' then try to play it and if it doesnt work then the game is probably not compatible with vista
