Maybe because everybody who claims they're real Patriot fans were the same ones who showed up when they sucked?

Ever think of that one smarts?

Tiger: They have to re-assess the fact that they're from Boston so they won't get jumped on in advance for being the real deal. Anybody can say they're a Patriots fan, but it takes a great deal of knowledge to back it up. What is it with you people not being able to accept that there ARE real fans of successful teams? It's not like 100% of their fanbase revolves around people who only started liking them around 2001.

Can you name the different "names" that our previous stadium had when they built it in Foxboro in 1971? (without searching the internet) Here is the first one: Schaefer. Two more left, before they built the new stadium. Or were you not even born yet? I know what my answer is on that one.

Season ticket holder from the OLD stadium. Section 212 row 19 on the nice and cold metal benches. How is that for a NON bandwagon fan...these questions are getting so OLD.

Their stadium has sold out since the Krafts took over, prior to that they had difficulty in the years that there was talk about moving the Patriots out of new england, once the Krafts purchased the team there was still talk about moving the stadium, but not taking the team out of new england and they didn't have any trouble after that. As far as current ticket sales streaks, the Patriots are 9th best streak in the NFL for sold out games, just behind the KC Cheifs and Dallas Cowboys. The Washington Redskins have the longest streak. Short streaks belong to teams like the Bengals, Bills, Chargers, Raiders and Colts who have not even managed to sell out every game with Manning.

First of all, it's a NEW stadium and it's never been half-empty. The NY Jets played yesterday, to about 3,000 people in the cold/rain for 4 hours vs. the Cleveland Browns... is there a "better" Jets fan, sitting on his rear in sunny Los Angeles and watching the game over satellite in HD?

Secondly, if you don't live near the stadium or even on the East Coast.. then many, many people are supporting the Patriots. In fact, they'd be bankrupt, if they depended on you watching TV from home vs. fans that are there.

Then of course -- there's the REALITY of sitting in an ice-cold stadium on a November or December afternoon in damp weather, freezing your rearend off on a steel seat/ bench in that old, open wind, crosswind, bone-chilling stadium.. which gets all the more colder, when your team isn't winning. Have you EVER done that, even once? (I have, and I'm a NY Giants fan)

If you're going to "ask" a question just to rip on people.. then: Stick to topics you know, because this isn't one of them.

A bit of a generalization there don't ya think there slugger. I could write 3 paragraphs about how I've been a Patriots fan for life and how I remember when Dick MacPherson was the coach and when you couldn't see games on tv because they were blacked out.. But I don't have to prove Sh*t to you so bite me.

I was too young to get a job, therefore too broke to buy a ticket. Not to mention the fact I'd have had to bum a ride to the stadium. That of course would have to be ok'd by my parents, and I couldn't see them letting a 12 year old kid attend a Pats game alone. I did however manage to watch them on TV or listen to them on the radio instead. You don't actually have to attend the games to be a fan. I'm sure you have season tickets of course, to your 49ers team. I'm sure you've attended every single game regardless of what happend on Sunday.

What crappy team's stadium isn't half empty? The Jags have had 3 blackouts this year, and aren't having anymore since they started doing good again

Uh...Because that's their home team?...I'm originally from Boston, and have always followed the Pats...Yeah...When they sucked too...Guessing you're either a Colts or Cowboys homer...Where were YOU before the Colts had Peyton or before the Cowboys had Tony Romo?

...Darth, don't forget about Tony Eason and Irving Fryar...

No, actually I went to several sold out games the year they went 2-14 right before they drafted Drew Bledsoe.

Seems someone here doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
