Depends on the frequency and seriousness of the conflicts. If it is too frequent and has been happening for a LONG time, then it may be time to choose. That may sound harsh but if there are conflicts between a LIFE partner and a best friend FOREVER, you need to determine who you want in your LIFE FOREVER. If it's both then you need to discuss this with them together. You need to tell them both that the conflict is going to result in a choice in which one (or both) will not be happy and that's not fair to do to either of you. So if your life partner and BFF care about you as you do about them, they will resolve whatever conflicts arise between the two of them before you have to eliminate one or both. It may sound harsh but your sanity is worth it.

My last girlfriend had a real knack for that. I was expected to figure out what I did wrong, apologize, explain why I did it, and demonstrate my commitment never to do it again and my plan for preventing future occurrences of the behavior. This was the only way she'd speak to me. Which meant wracking my brain, since I didn't even know what I'd done wrong usually, which is great because it makes you confess everything you might have done, everything you might think she thinks you've done, etc., and obsess and feel guilty, even if it was a minor thing. And you get in more trouble if you get frustrated and angry. Ahhh. Good times!

What, you want to resolve conflicts between two other people? You can't, even though it may be tempting to try. The best you can do is listen to your partner and let her rant as needed. You don't have to agree with her analysis of the situation; just agree with her that her feelings are important. Given a chance to discharge her emotions, she will be better able to resolve the conflicts herself.

Talking it out, BUT one thing to consider, just like is my wife had a huge conflict with my bff, I would have to tell him that he/she needs to make it work, not the other way around.

After all--Spouse, life partner, whatever--they come first.

Shuffle a deck of cards and have them each pick a card. Highest card gets the final say on whatever the current disagreement is at the time.

It's a fun, neutral way to keep them from fighting. Maybe eventually, they'll learn to accept the fact that the three of you will be in each other's lives whether they like it or not. Good luck!

Get them both to sit down and agree to a serious talk. No raising voices, no interrupting and no insults with a time limit as to how long someone can talk (5 or 10 minutes each time speaking?) should be enough ground rules. Also have a mediator present, someone that both sides admires and respects. Good luck

When you say life partner are you talking about you...? If so your only way for you to resolve this is to move to California and stay with me until the deal in Florida goes through.....that is the only way to get away from it....so what time shall should I expect you..? I want everything to be perfect.....you know the ties...blindfold....swing...all that fun stuff....

Stay out of it and let them deal with it, the conflicts might be how they communicate and remain BFFs

I think I know who you are talking about, I am so over them honestly could they possibly be more childish? I think we should just ignore these petty games and maybe they will quit whining. Every single day My BFF slept with my brother! If your BFF killed your Unicorn what would you do? I am so sick of hearing about it. Blah Blah Blah I am blocking them both.

cut the bff from her life. You'll probably end up sleeping with her anyway so it's in the gf's main interest to do so now.
