If I did well pardon me. I remember saying that no one knows if there is a god or not. That includes both, make believe Christians and make believe atheists. I use "god" or "no god" to suit my end purpose. Am I supposed to believe that "you" don't?

Since the word "God" has many different meanings, it is possible for the sentence "God exists" to express many different propositions. What we need to do is to focus on each proposition separately. … For each different sense of the term "God," there will be theists, atheists, and agnostics relative to that concept of God.

i am not sure what you are referring to, a previous post perhaps?
yes, i feel that "make-believe" christians or atheists would not know, yet others who truly feel christian or atheist would feel they do know,
to many, the concept of God or no God, is a deep felt reasoned out one, that they arrive at after much contemplation
its not just something stated to suit an end purpose

It's not that simple. Some people truly do believe in God, regardless of what's going on in life.

Also, some people absolutely do not believe in God, regardless of anything they cannot explain.

It is unfair to lump all Christians into one group, as it is to lump all atheists into one group. People are individuals...no two are exactly alike. Some may use God or No God to suit their purposes...but many do not.
