My husband asked a couple of times during his life. Men don't usually ask for directions as they try and figure it out by themselves. They may use a map, but very infrequently. My husband was a real estate appraiser in NYC for many years, until his untimely death on October 31, 2007.

That's a stereotype. I get lost all the time and the first thing that I do is ask for directions. Its just certain people, women included, that have a serious pride issue.
